It has been 30 years
since President Jimmy Carter first urged the American
people to conserve energy.
Many Americans do not remember having odd-even
gas ration days. It’s
true that environmentalism is a roller coaster with more
twists and turns added with every presidential
administration. However,
since Hurricane Katrina and the release of Al Gore’s
attention getting acclaimed film, “An Inconvenient
Truth,” it appears environmentalism is on an upswing.
Being children of the
70’s, and surviving the first and second energy
crisis, my business partner and I along with our staff
decided to created this web site with the purpose of
offering you helpful tips and practices that are simple
and in many instances, inexpensive to implement in your
home, office, school, and even your community. The information you will find here at Going Green American
ranges from Green building, to remodeling your kitchen
to simply changing the type of light bulbs that you use
in your home, school or office.
